Prior to 1800, many colonists loyal to the throne of Britain immigrated to north and south Alabama to escape involvement in the Revolutionary War but with the defeat of the Creek Indians, land in Alabama became open to new settlers seeking an opportunity. Settlers came from Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina and North Carolina to Alabama.

Unless you do and find out it is totally wrong
I have gone to the county sites and found mistakes on our family information. We tried to correct but it wasn’t allowed…
Again you are doing a disservice to real family history researchers. I know that you are selling your books but no one should ever accept the work of another unless they can verify the information. As I recently posted to a similar comment by you. Your family history for Moses Johnson (1746) is completely in error with regard to his posted ancestors. What you have is the result on an internet post by a researcher who immediately found the error but once it was picked up it has spread everywhere. What you are saying is great for those who only want to count names on a tree correct or not. Real family history is based on verification and the real fun is making discoveries not copying work done by others.
True enough. The Internet family trees are rife with errors. I blame Ancestry for allowing trees to be posted and shared that have no validation attached …often coming from their own “green leaf hints”. My surname family tree has been corrupted with children that do not belong to it and erroneous marriage attachments.
Do you have any history of Grove Hill, Alabama. My ancestors were Hicks, Calks, Cox or assist me as to where I might be able to locate Thanks
