This cemetery has gotten a lot of attention since more burials have been discovered. It is listed on Find A Grave as the Walker Family Cemetery in Macon County, Alabama. It holds Walker burials for 7 generations. My Jordans married in with the Walkers in 1827 in Campbell , Virginia. I believe Edmund Winston Walker 1770-1839 could be the oldest unmarked grave. Even though Edmund died in 1839 he is listed in the 1840 Macon, Alabama census. Edmunds daughter Sarah Jordan 1807-1865 married my GGgrandfather Samuel Jordan 1807-1853 and they are buried in this cemetery. The wrought iron fence seen in this picture is still there. My great grandfather Robert Winston Jordan 1843-1910 is buried next to the fence. If allowed I will leave my phone number here if anyone has questions. I’m not so good with computer. 334-262-8910.
