  4. Here’s the issue:

Most information about the Byrd Settlement or Buzzard’s Roost, Pigeon’s Roost, Turkey Town, Eagle Town or Pilgrim’s Rest, etc. whatever it has been called over all these year it still exists where it always has since time immemorial or at least 10,000 years.

The same Choctaw who are named in the Treaties, the Federal
records and Supreme Court Decrees all point back to the same place in what is today Mobile County Alabama along Highway 96 or the Old St. Stephens Road or else the Coy Smith Highway or the Military Road or the old Sawmill Road or whatever it will be obscured to next.

It’s still the same place those 96 families of Choctaw Indians have always lived even when they were referred to as Chickasaws, Natchez, Chochuma, or even Cherokee, etc.

Same people, same place, same events.

The Choctaw Nation of Indians of Helena or Hell Town or whatever the Byrd Settlement, Weaver Community and Kunsha or Reed, and Orso and Calvert Communities will be called next…

It is still the same place, time after time.

    It still has not moved.

The stories get retold as if they happened somewhere else.

The place never moved and the people are fully documented since before there was a United States of America.

It’s hard to make it up.
