Does anyone know of a Henderson Family that was living in Macon County, Alabama around what was Cross Keys, either right before, during and right after the Creek Indian War of 1836 (from 1833-1840?)? The Old Family Story goes that The Henderson Family had fought with the Indians and Lost Several Close Relatives in that Skirmish. Has anyone heard any stories of such a Family that had fought with the Indians in Macon County about that timeframe? Anyone know of any Newspaper Articles and such? I have been desperately searching for several years now with no such luck.
