Sometimes our grandmother’s cooked main dishes without meat – like this meat substitute loaf
Meat-Substitute Loaf
- 1 cupful of cooked salted rice
- 1 cupful of crushed peanuts
- 1 egg
- 1 cupful of cottage cheese
- 2 tablespoonfuls of chopped onion cooked until soft in ½ cupful of water
- 1 tablespoonful of fat
- ¼ teaspoonful of pepper
- 1 teaspoonful of salt-
Make into a loaf and bake. Serve hot with tomato sauce.
