Tombstone Photographs

Tombstone Photographs ( 14 Files )

From time to time, we visit old cemeteries and I decided to start taking some photographs of the old tombstones while there and share them on Alabama Pioneers. Maybe you will find that long lost ancestor in one of the photographs so be sure to check this page frequently for cemetery updates. We are just getting started in this endeavor. If you would like to help, email me at info@alabamapioneers.com

GEDCOM Documents

GEDCOM Documents ( 272 Files )

The listed individuals are pioneers of early Alabama and the GEDCOM files have been derived from various sources but I am always seeking more information about them, especially biographies. If you have any corrections or other information about the families listed, please email the information you have to share.

To respect the privacy and to avoid naming any living descendants, each pioneer's GEDCOM file only includes the first four or five generations.

You may notice that many of the pioneers listed died in another state. If this occurs... their children or wives traveled to Alabama. Often, they had several children in Alabama and this was the simplest way to list them and include all the children.

These files can be viewed with Adobe Acrobat. The free software is availabe at this link

If you find this information interesting and helpful in your research, we would appreciate a donation (use paypal button on the left), so the data on this website can continue to remain free to all and simple to use. Thank you for all your encouragement and support!
