YOU KNOW YOU ARE A GENEALOGY ADDICT WHEN PDF Print E-mail

You know you are a Genealogy addict when....

... You brake for libraries.
.... You hyperventilate at the sight of an old cemetery.
.... You would rather browse in a cemetery than a shopping mall.
.... You would rather read census schedules than a good book.
.... You are more interested in what happened in 1699 than in 1999.
.... Eenrum, Baflo and Groningen are household names, but you can't remember what to call the dog.
.... You store your clothes under the bed (or wear the same two outfits to save space), because your closet is full of books and papers.
.... All your correspondence begins with "Dear Cousin".
.... You have traced every one of your ancestral lines back to Adam and Eve, you have it documented and still don't want to quit.
.... Your most important social life is meeting people who you run into while searching a family line.

I guess I'll have to admit I'm a genealogy addict but I certainly enjoy chatting with the wonderful “Cousins” and other genealogy addicts I find along the way....like Gail Fuller for her additions to Richard Hobson Blake Descendants and additional information on Hiram Bates so he could be taken off the Wanted Lists.

I don't know if I mentioned Hal and Edna Earle Cottingham but they are the main reason I have so much material to download to www.alabamapioneers.com. Hal is my cousin and “collected” as he said genealogy information for years in Bibb County, Alabama for many years. He shared and continues to share his documentation with me so everyone can benefit from their research.

Thanks again for all the wonderful comments! You really make my day when I have spent a lot of time working on the site and become a little bleary eyed. Please continue to send in corrections or new information when you have documentation to the contrary. It is the only way we can stop repeating the same errors that have occurred in family lines. I want to make this website as accurate as possible.
