I HAVE A KITCHEN AGAIN! | Blog

YEAH! I have my kitchen and family room back! Thanks to On Hands Builders and Riverside Builders, (who I highly recommend) I no longer have to camp out in my bedroom and dining room. On Hands and Riverside Builders can do about anything in the way of remodeling and construction and were honest and dependable...but the best thing about them was the fact that they didn't complain if I wanted to do something a little unusual and they even cleaned up after every day of work. They made this whole ordeal much more bearable. Now, I just need to put all my things back in the kitchen and enjoy redecorating.

To bring the new members up to speed....I had a leak from a valve in my ice maker of my refrigerator while I was out of town for two weeks. It was like having a hose running in my house for two weeks.

My suggestion to anyone leaving town for any length of time...TURN OFF YOUR WATER! I'm too skittish now to even connect my ice maker back up. I never realized how much damage water could do.

Luckily, the major damage was in my basement – but the contractors took out everything down to the cement blocks on the walls and took up the floor. They still have a little more to do in the basement. Kevin of Riverside Builders is installing a new floor and he has a little more painting and staining of my new stairs to do but I will have my house back with many updates that we wanted in time for Christmas..and I'll have a basically new house to enjoy when my family comes down. I already know what my Christmas present will be...I need Riverside Builders to update the rest of my house!! I promised Kevin, I'd add his phone number to my blog this time. He is located in Shelby County, Al and their phone number is (205) 796-4941. I highly recommend them.

Well, back to Genealogy updates...
