I hope you have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS this year or HAPPY CHANUKKAH, HAPPY HOLIDAYS for all who do not celebrate Christmas. Did you know the words Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to You were used on the first commercially available Christmas card in 1843 but the words Merry Christmas date back even further. According to Wikipedia, hey were used in The Hereford Municipal Manuscript in 1565 as included below: "And thus I comytt you to god, who send you a mery Christmas & many." Thank you for your support of Alabama Pioneers this past year and enjoy the wonderful holidays ahead! Donna R Causey
