Perry County, Alabama and Pike County, Alabama
George Casper Monts was born 1795 in Orangeburg, South Carolina to Johann (John) Casper Monts and Ann Maria (Minnick) Monts. He married Christiana Shaffer, who was born ca. 1794, the daughter of John Frederick Shaffer and Magdalina (Eichelberger) Shaffer.
George and Christiana first moved to Pike County, Alabama and in 1834, they moved to Perry County, Alabama.

Perry County, Alabama
John Frederick Shaffer was born August 18, 1774 in Lexington District, South Carolina. He married 1st Magdalina Eichelberger, daughter of Johann Eichelberger and Elizabeth (Shealy) Eichelberger. She was bron 1775 In Newberry District, South Carolina. After her death he married 2nd Priscilla Hopkins ca. 184 in Perry County, Alabama, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Autry) Hopkins. She was born 1796 and died after 1880 in Milam Co., Texas.

(b. 1786 SC - Perry Co., AL)
John Frazier was born Dec. 18, 1811 in Edgefield, SC to John (b. July 23, 1786 SC-d. Perry Co., AL) and Elizabeth (Wright) (d. 1864 Perry Co., AL) Frazier. He moved to Perry County, Alabama with his parents where he maried Malinda Pool in 1836. She was born Jane 3, 1819 in Tennessee, the daughter of James Holloway and Mary (Rowe) Pool of Hale County, Alabama.
John and Malinda (Pool) Frazier had the following ten children, all born in Perry Co., AL:

Perry County, Alabama
Michael Mowdy was born 1798 in Virginia and is thought to be the son of James Mowdy. He was in Perry County, Alabama by 1820 when he married Mary Polly Fisher on July 20, 1820. Mary was born 1800 in North Carolina. They had the following children:
1.James Michael Mowdy (b. October 10, 1821 Perry Co., AL -d Dec. 21, 1903 Indian Territory, OK) married Cellany Ann Modest Coon (b. Feb. 15, 1821 Alabama – d. Dec. 28, 1908 Indian Territory, OK)in Alabama on July 10, 1845 in Perry County, Alabama. She was the daughter of Adam Coon and Melvina Legrone.
